“The most beautiful resort we have ever been to.........”

We stayed in October for two weeks, which is more unusual as most people use the hotel for a post safari chill out..... It was totally perfect for a two week stay and was a great alternative to the Caribbean at this time of year. The staff are AMAZING, friendly, helpful and by the time we left we felt that we were part of their family. Loved every single minute! The rooms are spacious, clean and elegant. We had a two bed-roomed villa and it was perfect, far better than many places we have stayed all over the world. The food was unbelievable - with 6 course fine dining catered to suit your individual needs. Nothing was ever too much trouble.. if you didn't fancy the menu or it didn't suit the children, they would cook what ever you wanted. Our villa host, Moses, was the best and most helpful and kindest person i have met - Moses is a legend according to my children! The manager, Sebastian, was extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel is small and intimate enough that he was always to hand, seemed to know whatever adventure we had planned next and was always ready to offer good advice. The watersports centre was efficient and offered whatever we needed, kite surfing, reef walks, bikes, scuba and snorkeling. For those who don't know - the tide does go out... and leaves ankle deep water for reef walking etc - this was never an issue for us as we loved the reef walking with the local fishermen - catching octopus and rays etc and very very interesting. There are also sea urchins but once the tide is in it is safe to swim. We have stayed in the finest hotels all over the world and yet The Baraza rates as one of the finest and most divine hotels we have had the pleasure to experience. We were told that if you went to stay here, you would be treated like gods.... that was a fair comment. Cannot wait to return and we all miss it and the staff already. Thank you Baraza - you were brilliant! Guest nationality: English Reviewed November 11, 2010
