“Simply an Oasis”

We stayed here for 4 nights at the tail-end of safari's in Tanzania and Kenya. Unfortunately, our luggage didn't arrive with us when we flew into Zanzibar, yet the staff at Baraza accommodated us, by providing extra robes and shorts and laundered our existing clothes. The GM empathized as he was originally from the Plaza in NYC, so he understand the importance of service. At the time of our stay (February), the property was sparsely inhabited, so we felt as though we had free reign of the resort. The staff was extremely attentive, and the meals are divine. They even setup a private lunch for my wife and myself on the beach by building a cabana and hearts out of bamboo, so we can dine in front of the waves. It was a thoughtful touch. The resort offers numerous amenities such as bikes and snorkeling gear, so you can enjoy the ocean. Or you can simply relax in their magnificent pool. Room Tip: We stayed in an oceanfront apartment.
