“Baraza - One of the best in the world??”

My wife and I stayed at Baraza for 8 days in February 2012. We have been traveling long haul for many years. It was a truly amazing experience from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and the prawn curries were the best. Fantastic service from very friendly attentive staff, wonderful food with great variety (you can ask for whatever you want), large spacious villas (no rooms), spectacular gardens considering Baraza has only been open 3 years, stunning architecture (the architect deserves an award if not already given). My wife tells me the spa was exceptional in every way. Sun umbrellas on the beach reserved for each villa is a plus. When we were there there were only 24 guests and 200 staff! Baraza has only 30 villas so 60 guests plus children is the maximum. Luxury on a grand scale. 5 star plus plus, no stuffiness. They are already getting repeat guests which says it all. All guests we spoke to expressed a desire to return. We have never returned to a place for a second visit (the world needs exploring) but for Baraza we would make an exception and we have started saving! Guest nationality: English Reviewed March 3, 2012
